MG Motor India has finally launched its fourth all-new offering since its debut in 2019. The new model has been priced at Rs 9.78 lakh, ex-showroom, and will be seen locking horns with the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq, along with even competing with the very aggressively priced Mahindra XUV700. Bookings start on October 21 at all authorized dealerships. But one can pre-reserve a car starting today. At least 5,000 deliveries will be made in 2021.

MG Astor Specifications and Prices
The new model has gone on sale in as many as 4 trims, viz. Style, Super, Smart, and Sharp. The two engine options on offer include a 110PS-144Nm 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated mill from the Hector and a 140PS-220 Nm 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit. The former is available with two transmission options- 6-speed manual and CVT. Meanwhile, the latter is only on sale with a 6-speed torque-converter automatic unit. The 1.5-litre MT variant is available in all four trims while its CVT sibling is available only in Super Smart and Sharp trims. Meanwhile, the 1.3-litre Turbo AT variant is on sale only in the Smart and Sharp trims.

The Astor will come with a 3-3-3 package - 3 years unlimited km warranty, 3 years free RSA and 3 years labour-free services. The cost of ownership of MG Astor will be just 47-paise per kilometre. Also, customers will be offered a 60% buyback offer after 3 years/45,000 km ownership stage.

The Astor is a feature-laden model with even the base trim offering a handful of goodies. These include an all-LED lighting package up front, rear spoiler, 16-inch steel wheels with full wheel covers, 3.5 inch TFT instrument cluster, leather-wrapped steering, 10.1-inch touchscreen WITHOUT Android Auto/Apple Carplay support, steering modes, tilt steering, keyless entry, electric ORVMs, follow-me-home headlamp, height adjustment for drivers seat, rear AC vent, air purifier, dual front airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, Hill Hold Assist, Hill Descent Control, disc brakes on the front and rear wheels, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchorage and rear foglamp.
The Super trim will come with 17-inch silver alloy wheels, electric parking brake, reverse parking camera, LED tailights, cornering headlight assist, LED interior lamp, 10.1-inch touchscreen with Android Auto/Apple Carplay support, steering-mounted audio and telephone controls

Next, the Smart trim even offers personal AI assistant, digital car key using a smartphone, iSmart, 7-inch all-digital instrumentation, push button engine start/stop with smart entry, side airbags, perforated leather seat upholstery, cruise control, auto headlamps, TPMS, speed assist system (manual model) and electric-foldable ORVMs,
Additionally, the Sharp trim offers Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, rear-drive assist, red-painted brake callipers, 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, curtain airbags, 360-degree surround-view camera, rain-sensing wipers, blind-spot detection, lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert, electric parking brake, 360-view camera with park assist, dual front airbags, front side airbags and leather seat upholstery.
