MG Astor is the entry-level vehicle of the Chinese-owned British automaker in India. The Astor is a feature-packed C-segment SUV that comes with two engine options to choose from: a 1.5-litre petrol engine and 1.3-litre turbo petrol. Rising input prices have impacted Astor's price, and the brand has increased the price of various Astor models up to Rs 46,000.
MG Astor Price Hike
The price of a 1.5 litre petrol engine has increased by Rs 30,000 to Rs 46,000. The 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine models, on the other hand, have seen a price increase of Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000. Following the price increase, the MG Astor now has a starting price of Rs 10.28 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.13 lakh (ex-showroom). The revised prices are in effect from June 1, 2022.

MG Hector Features and Specifications
The MG Astor is a well-equipped SUV with some segment-first features. It comes equipped with a dedicated AI assistant, i-Smart connected car technology, a 10.1-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, dual-tone leather interior, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 360-degree camera, among other features.
MG has integrated the Astor with Autonomous Level-2 ADAS, which includes lane keep assist, rear drive assist, adaptive cruise control, front collision prevention, and other safety features. It also comes with six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, an automatic parking brake, and a traction control system, among other safety features. The Astor comes standard with 27 safety features in all trim levels.

If we talk about the power output of the Astor, the 1.5-litre four-cylinder NA petrol engine produces 108 bhp of power and 144 Nm of peak torque. The other choice is a potent 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine with 138 bhp of power and 220 Nm of peak torque. The 1.5 L engine comes mated with a 6-speed manual and a CVT as standard, whereas the 1.3 L turbo petrol engine is mated with a 6-speed torque converter.
In other MG related news, the brand is all set to bring the facelift of Hector in 2022. The 2022 MG Hector has been spotted recently in heavy camouflage and it is expected to get ADAS as well as some more design and feature tweaks.
