MG Gloster Price Hiked
The MG Gloster, the company's flagship SUV, has recently undergone a price increase. The entry-level Sharp 7S 2.0 Turbo 2WD variant now commands a premium of Rs. 76,200. This price adjustment extends to select variants, including the Savvy 7S 2.0 Turbo 2WD, Savvy 6S 2.0 Turbo 2WD, Blackstorm 6S 2.0 Turbo 2WD, Blackstorm 7S 2.0 Turbo 2WD, Desertstorm 7S 2.0 Turbo 2WD, and Desertstorm 6S 2.0 Turbo 2WD, each experiencing a price hike of Rs. 80,000. These price revisions follow recent adjustments observed across other models in the MG lineup. For the rest of the variants, they receive a standard hike of Rs. 80,000.
The Gloster stands out as one of the most feature-rich three-row SUVs available in the Indian market. It boasts a comprehensive list of premium amenities, including a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a 12-way power-adjustable driver's seat with massage and ventilation functions, multi-zone climate control, and a versatile selection of seven terrain modes. In addition to its impressive feature set, the Gloster incorporates advanced ADAS features and driver-assistance systems, such as a driver fatigue reminder, for enhanced safety and convenience.

Engine Details
The MG Gloster offers two engine options. The 4WD variant is equipped with a powerful 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine that delivers 215 PS of power and a substantial 478 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission for smooth and efficient power delivery. For those seeking a more fuel-efficient option, the 2WD configuration features a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine generating 161 PS of power and 373 Nm of torque, also mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Verdict
While the pricing for the MG Gloster is now at a higer level, the rand has revelaed an enhanced three row SUV, called the Majestor at the Auto Expo 2025 with some notable upgrades. Although the pricing for the new SUV is still behind the curtains, it will continue to exist alongside the Gloster. While it is already pretty well equipped, the brand aims to keep the spark with new upgrades at regular intervals and stay relevant.
