After launching the MG Astor and the Gloster SUV in the iconic Blackstorm Edition, the MG Hector Blackstorm has been teased. Draped in pitch black with red accents, this new edition will be the third in line from MG. What can you expect with this edition? MG Hector Blackstorm Edition
The teaser image of MG Hector Blackstorm has bared it all out. While the front facia has been revealed, you get a clear glimpse of its front profile. It gets an all-black paint job with red inserts surrounding the headlamps and making its presence felt on the ORVMs. You now get blacked-out alloy wheels with red brake calipers that exude a sporty feel to the Hector. You can clearly see the Blackstorm badging on the fender in chrome finish for easy spotting.
Interior And Features: What Changes And What Doesn't?
As seen in the past, the Blackstorm editions come with an all-black interior and the same is expected to continue with this one as well. Apart from this, no feature changes are coming. You get the same horizontally stacked 14-inch infotainment screen, 7-inch digital driver's display, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, ADAS, and more. In terms of safety, you get 6 airbags, TPMS, 360degree camera, ESC, and more

Under The Hood
The Blackstorm edition will continue with the same set of engine options. It comes with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that generates 143 PS power with a peak torque of 250 Nm. It comes with transmission options including a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. The 2.0-litre diesel mill churns out 170 PS power with a peak torque of 350 Nm and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It will rival the dark editions of Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV700, and others.
Verdict
The Blackstorm Edition will bring a new blacked-out colourtone to its popular SUV. While this is something a lto of enthusisats wan't, it will aid the sales of Hector with people looking out for an all-black SUV straight from the dealerships itself.
