The Duster has been one of the most successful models for Renault in India. The SUV defined the segment with its looks & capabilities. However, it was discontinued in 2020 due to the arrival of BS6 emission norms. However, Renault has already started road-testing the camouflaged test mules of the next-gen Duster. According to some media reports, Renault might launch the new Duster in India by Diwali 2025. Next-Gen Renault Duster: New Powertrain Details Emerge
It is confirmed that the new-gen Duster will be based on Renault's CMF-B platform (RenaultNissan Common Module Family). Renault shares this platform with Nissan. However, now according to some latest reports, the new-gen Duster will have a length of more than 4.44 meters. Moreover, the next-gen Renault Duster is expected to come with a 1.6-litre hybrid powertrain, a 1.2-litre petrol engine, and also a 1.0-litre LPG powertrain.
Next-Gen Renault Duster: New Drivetrain Details Emerge
When it comes to transmission, the new Renault Duster is expected to come with a manual as well as DCT automatic (Dual Clutch Transmission) gearbox. Moreover, the 4X4 or 4WD version of the new-gen Duster is also expected to get a mechanical rear differential. On the suspension front, it is likely to come with a multi-link rear suspension.
Next-Gen Renault Duster With e-AWD Tech
According to some reports, there's also a high possibility that the next-gen Renault Duster might come equipped with an e-AWD system & an electric rear differential. That's due to the stricter Euro-7 emission norms.

Verdict: The upcoming next-gen Renault Duster is likely to be based on the design of the Dacia Bigster concept. On the features front, it is expected to come with a fully digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system, and possibly the level-2 ADAS tech also.
