New Jawa Perak Bobber: What To Expect?
As seen in the teaser, the new Perak will be more or less similar to the current bike. A silhouette of the bike from the rear also hints at the same. Moreover, the instrument cluster shown is also similar to the current model. In fact, the single seat is clearly visible in the teaser. Moreover, a slight glimpse of the fuel tank shows golden paint stripes, hinting that the bike will possibly get new colours.
We suspect that this is a mere update in terms of colours and paint options. Feature-wise, the new Bobber will not receive much. As seen on the current model, the updated bike is going to be equipped with the reverse semi-digital instrument console. It has a tiny LCD that displays tripmeters and an odometer.
Jawa will keep offering the 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine on the Perak update as well. This engine has a good mid-range and it is appreciated for its quick performance. It is mated to a slick 6-speed transmission which works quite well. The powerhouse of the Perak will also be BS6 phase-2 emission norms compliant.
Pricing-wise, Jawa will revise the sticker tag marginally. A small hike of a few thousand can be expected with the addition of new colours or updates. Currently, it has no direct rivals in the Indian market.
