KTM's biggest launch event of the year was on the 14th of this month. The Austria-based manufacturer launched 10 bike models belonging to various categories. Now we have the KTM big bikes 0 1390 Super Duke R, 890 Duke R and 1290 Super Adventure in India. But there was a model that we all missed at the event - Yes, I'm talking about the new KTM 390 Adventure. The 390 Adventure is amongst the most popular models in our region.
We saw the latest iteration of the ADV at EICMA 2024. But the good news is that the most loved KTM Adventure tourer is set to debut in India at IBW 2024. KTM 390 Adventure Details
There is no escape from saying that Adventure 390 is the finest ADV tourer available in our country. The company has recently teased the upcoming Adventure bike on its social media handle. The KTM Adventure 390 is capable of tough off-roading and high-speed cruising.
Additionally, it gets features such as TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity. The updated KTM 390 Adventure is expected to be a great leap forward in terms of features and off-roading. It will be offered in various trims which include a 390 Adventure X and Adventure R.
KTM 390 Adventure: Powertrain
The KTM 390 Adventure sources its power from a 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which is capable of making 45 bhp of power and 40 Nm of torque. The powerhouse comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. As for the design, the 390 Adventure gets projector LED headlamps, semi-fairing, and knuckle guards. All these design elements go well with the sharp design language of the ADV.
KTM Adventure 390X and 390R: Differences
In terms of design, there is no big difference between the Adventure 390X and 390R. But the Adventure X gets smaller 19-inch (front and 17-inch (rear) alloy wheels and non-adjustable suspension (lesser than Adventure R). Also, the Adventure X doesn't get features such as cornering ABS and it uses an LCD unit instead of the TFT provided with the Adventure R.
In comparison, the 390 Adventure R gets 21-inch (front) and 18-inch (rear) alloy wheels, TFT instrument clusters, cruise control and dual-sport tyres. Also, it has a fully adjustable suspension with 230mm travel.
