Okinawa Electric Cruiser Motorcycle Details
Speaking of this new joint venture, Okinawa has planned to make a new EV lineup. Tactia, on the other hand, is specialized in creating tech-rich electric two-wheelers. As per the new contract, Okinawa will be investing 25 million euros in Italy. In fact, a new R&D center is being set up for this new joint venture. Meanwhile, both manufacturers will also run employee exchange programs.
However, at starting of this JV, Tactia will work with Okinawa's local technical team in India. But, with the passing of time and further development, 50 technicians from India will be sent to Italy.
So, why a cruiser? Well, because Tacita already has two of them in its global lineup. Hence, it will be easy for both makers to jointly work on the already existing platform. Additionally, there is no electric cruiser bike in India as of now. Hence, Okinawa is eyeing on this opportunity to become exclusive as Ultraviolette F77 did in its segment.
Verdict
Okinawa has established itself in the EV market of India. With its multiple products that offer good value for money, Okinawa will expand itself with this upcoming cruiser. Meanwhile, Okinawa will also work on better heat management of batteries and new cost-effective electric scooters.
