Additionally, Ola Electric has a bold ambition to put 1 lakh public chargers in 400 cities across the nation. According to data on the brand's website, 50 of the charging stations have already been installed as part of this ambitious effort. Ola refers to these public charging stations as "Hyperchargers," and 50 of them are currently operational.
Ola Hyperchargers
Ola Hyperchargers are fast chargers that can recharge a scooter up to 50 percent in 18 minutes. For a limited period, the brand is currently offering charging for free. We can expect the business to introduce a subscription plan or a small fee in the future to charge the scooter and to streamline transactions. According to the brand, a special application will make it simple to locate a charging site, plug in, monitor the charge's progress, and even pay for the service after the scooter is fully charged.
13 states and two Union Territories currently have Hyperchargers in operation.
Ola S1 Air
Ola Electric has recently released the Ola S1 Air electric scooter for just Rs 84,999. The S1 Air comes with a smaller 2.5kWh battery pack that had a 4.5kW maximum motor output. There are three riding modes included with this motor: Eco, Normal, and Sports. The ARAI claims that the Eco mode's riding range is 101 km per charge. As a result, it is one of its competitors' long-distance riding scooters. Furthermore, it is stated that the Air has a top speed of up to 85 kmph. The time for 040 km/h is 4.3 seconds, and the time for 060 km/h is 9.8 seconds.
Verdict: The installation of these Hyperchargers will enable Ola Electric to expand its network of infrastructure for charging electric two-wheelers.
