Not long ago, Ola opened bookings for its most affordable S1 Air scooter. The Ola S1 Air was launched at an introductory price of Rs 79,999. However, the scooter will soon go on sale in India. Ola S1 Air - Bookings, Price, Features, & Range
CEO of Ola Electric, Mr. Bhavish Aggarwal, shared an image related to S1 Air on Twitter. This recent image had a tagline of 'It's In The Air'. Additionally, it was revealed officially that S1 Air will soon be available for registration & payment. The company has also revealed that the new variant of S1 will be revealed on 9 Feb'23.
Speaking of the Air variant, it is based on a similar design to the S1 Pro. However, it gets fewer features and lighter body weight in comparison to the former. Ola opened the bookings for S1 Air a few weeks back. It was launched at an introductory price of Rs 79,999. Meanwhile, the company updated this price to Rs 84,999 after 24 October'22. Some of the major changes on Air are - a single-piece handlebar, conventional rear suspension, both drum brakes, etc. Hence, the revision of design details has led to a less kerb weight of 99 kg.
Technically, it gets a 2.5 kWh of a battery pack that generates a peak power of 6 hp. This battery pack can deliver up to 100 km per charge of riding range in the Eco mode; as claimed. Additionally, its charging time from 0-100 percent is 4.5 hours. Meanwhile, the top speed is claimed to be 90 km/h. However, the Air variant can do 0-60 km/h in just 9.8 seconds.
Verdict
Ola S1 electric scooter range is one of the top-selling e-scooters in India. Now, the addition of the S1 Air variant will make the lineup even more affordable. However, the competition is also updating itself. Rivals like TVS iQube S and Ather 450 Plus Gen 3 also offer similar features and competitive pricing.
