We Indians now generally prefer SUVs over sedans but it is also true that no compact SUV can match the plush feel of an executive sedan. Talking about executive sedans, Hyundai Verna is a very popular mid-size sedan in the Indian market. Early this year, Hyundai launched the facelifted Verna and this update made it better than ever. The Verna is a mod-friendly car too. So, today we have for you a tastefully modified old 2018 Hyundai Verna SX (O) model that has been converted to look like the new 2020 Hyundai Verna Facelift.
In the above-embedded video, you can see that this old 2018 Hyundai Verna SX (O) model has got a lot of cosmetic changes and has been converted to look like the new 2020 Hyundai Verna Facelift. The old Verna gets a new front fascia. The owner of the car has replaced the old grille and bumpers and installed new ones. It's worth mentioning that no after-market body kits have been used and all the parts have been sourced from a Hyundai dealership. The car gets a new chrome-studded grille, new LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, chrome extensions, front fenders and a new front bumper.

Talking about the total cost of the modification, the owner of the car shares that the total mod-job costed him around Rs. 1.14 lakhs. If we break-up the cost, the new LED headlamps are worth 50,000 rupees and the cost of the new grille is 10,000 rupees. Further, it gets chrome lining of worth 8,000 rupees and the fog lamp assembly cost him 6,500 rupees. The remaining cost was used to get the newly revised bumpers. However, no changes have been made to the side and rear profile of the car, save for some blacked-out elements like the boot-lip spoiler and ORVMs. Also, while it still gets stock alloy wheels, the tyres have been upsized and it now gets Yokohama tyres.
This 2018 Hyundai Verna SX(O) is the diesel model that gets a 1.6-litre U2 CRDI diesel engine. This diesel motor churns out 126 PS of power and 260 Nm of peak torque and comes mated a 6-speed manual gearbox. Now, the 2020 Hyundai Verna gets three BS6-compliant engine options. It gets a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol motor that comes mated to a 6-speed manual and an IVT. It also gets a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that comes mated to a 7-speed DCT. Lastly, we also have a 1.5-litre oil-burner that comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a torque-converter automatic transmission.

The new 2020 Hyundai Verna Facelift is available in multiple variants and is priced between Rs. 9.02 lakhs - Rs. 15.17 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi.
