The Renault Kwid electric made its global debut in Europe in October last year and since then, is one of the most talked-about affordable electric cars in the market. The car is sold under the brand name of Renault's subsidiary Dacia and is called the Spring. The Dacia Spring is available in two trims - Comfort and Comfort Plus. The car was recently crash-tested by Euro NCAP and scored a one-star rating. Here are all the details that you should know about the Renault Kwid Electric Euro NCAP crash test results.
The model tested by Euro NCAP weighed 970 kgs and was equipped with dual front airbags, side airbags for front and rear passengers, belt load limiter, rear ISOFIX mounts, airbag cut-off switch, and seat belt reminder. In addition to this, the Spring also boasts features like AEB Car-to-Car, speed assistance, and other basic safety features. The car remained stable in the frontal offset test but many parameters showed intensive injuries to the dummies. The final Euro NCAP ratings stand at one out of five stars.

The Dacia Spring is 3.37m in length, 1.57m in width, and 1.48m in height. The car also gets a wheelbase of 2.4m wheelbase and a ground clearance of 151mm. The car gets a 45hp motor that delivers a peak torque output of 125Nm. With a claimed 0-100 timing of around 19.1 seconds and a top speed of 125 kmph, the Spring electric claimed range stands at 305 km in the city and 230 km in combined usage. The car can be charged via an AC charger in 4 hours while a DC fast charger will take only 30 minutes to charge it from 30 per cent to 80 per cent. On the features front, the car gets all LED lights, an easy to use infotainment system, and a number of other features that improve the in-cabin experience by a fair margin.
