With an increment in prices by up to 3 per cent, all models in Skoda Auto India's lineup, including the Hyundai Creta-rivalling Kushaq, will get costlier from January 1 2022
Skoda Auto India has revealed that prices of its entire range of models will be hiked by up to 3 per cent from next month. With this, all the models in the company's product catalogue, including the Kushaq, will become costlier from January 1, 2022. It's noteworthy that prices of the Hyundai Creta-rivalling C-SUV were first hiked last month, with the base model getting costlier by INR 30,000. It is however worth a mention that the prices of the other variants were left unchanged.

Speaking on the development, Zac Hollis, Director, Sales and Marketing, Skoda Auto India, said,"The decision to increase prices from January 1, 2022 is a result of the rising input costs and increased operational costs. Despite the macro-economic challenges, we have worked to ensure that the customer impact in terms of the incremental price increase is minimal. We will continue to offer the best in quality and value, as we look to build the `KODA brand in India."
Basically, the latest price hike comes on the back of the increasing cost of raw materials such as steel, aluminium, copper and various precious metals, which is something that has pushed various auto makers, including the likes of Maruti Suzuki, Toyota Kirloskar, Tata and Honda Cars to increase the prices of their vehicles from next month.
