Just recently, Skoda India launched the much-awaited Kushaq at a starting price of Rs 10.51 lakh. It is available in three variants - Active, Ambition and Style. While the latter two get the automatic transmission as an option, the base Active variant is limited to the 6-speed manual only. Now, new reports suggest that Skoda is planning to launch Kushaq Active AT and be priced aggressively.
Skoda Kushaq Active is available with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine. This unit is the same as found in the Rapid but now generates more power of 115 PS and a peak torque of 178 Nm. The six-speed torque converter that is seen on the Active AT will make in the Active variant too.
As of now, the Active variant is priced at Rs 10.51 lakh for the 6-speed MT. We believe that the Active AT is expected to be priced close to Rs 12.30 lakh. If that is the case then it will be the most affordable automatic mid-size SUV in the segment. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.
