Skoda has finally launched the much-awaited 2021 Kushaq at a price of Rs 10.50 lakh for the base and the top model fetches Rs 17.60 lakh. The 1.0L TSI is available in all three variants - Active, Ambition and Style while the top-spec 1.5L reserves itself for the top-spec model only.

Engine Option
The 1.0L turbocharged stratified injection motor is the same as found in their popular sedan, Rapid. However, this one generates more power at 115 PS with a peak torque of 178 Nm. Both 6-speed stick shift and 6-speed torque converter have been launched.

Bringing light to the more powerful 1.5L turbo petrol unit then it churns out 150 PS of power with a healthy torque of 250 Nm. A 6-speed manual will be made standard and 7-speed DSG will be offered too. The deliveries for the 1.0L petrol will commence from July 12th.
Newer Platform
The Kushaq is made in India, made for India SUV and sits on the newer MQB AO IN platform. This platform caters to the need of Indian buyers and thus brings in a decent cabin experience and rear-seat comfort. This new platform will be used for future Volkswagen-Skoda cars.

Skoda has equipped the Kushaq fairly as it comes with an electric sunroof, larger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, ventilated seats, cruise control, digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, automatic climate control and others.
Safety Features
Being a Skoda, both the build quality and safety features of the Kushaq are impressive. You do get multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system, front seat belt reminder and others.
