Skoda India recently announced the entry of its second product from the 2.0 project, Skoda Slavia. The midsize sedan is already available in the international market and is ready to make its debut in India as well. No information related to the design and structure has not been revealed yet whereas a designer SRK has some imagination on how the car would look like.

Skoda has so far just revealed two sketches of the car that show the front and rear design of the upcoming sedan. It is expected that the car will be presented by the carmakers at the end of this month. The artist has uploaded the video to YouTube and started the video by modifying Volkswagen Virtus
Glancing at the front design, the car is installed with angular LED projector headlights integrated with L-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). The newly designed bumper is a simple one with C-shaped fog lamps and a slim air dam at the centre.

The sedan comes with a grey colored five spoke alloy wheel design. The front fender gets a Skoda badging and to make the car look more characteristic strong body lines can be seen on the side profile. The car also features LED turn indicators placed in the wing mirrors. From the sketches revealed Slavia will come with a split LED tail lights.
Slavia will be built on the same MQB AO IN platform that is used in the production of Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun. Slavia will come with a longer wheelbase of 2651 mm as compared to its rivals which means that the sedan will have a spacious in-cabin. The sedan will be 4541 mm in length, 1487 mm in height and 1752 mm in width.

The upcoming sedan will have a coupe type design language. Skoda recently launched a new Matte edition of its Rapid that might be its last model. As soon as Slavia makes its entry in the market it will be placed against the likes of its existing Rapid. Slavia will compete with Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, and Honda City. Just like Slavia, there is a possibility VW will also introduce their version of the sedan as well.
The upcoming Skoda Slavia will be powered by the same 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI engines mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard and will also be available with automatic transmission. The 1.0 TSI will get a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox whereas the 1.5 TSI will get a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
