With the ever-increasing presence of cleaner and greener mobility around the globe, Indian automotive brands have started throwing their cards in the world of future mobility. We have the impressive Ather 450X, the reborn Bajaj Chetak and the recently-launched TVS I-Cube. One thing common among all three scooters is that all are home-grown products from home-grown makers. Now the Japanese two-wheeler maker - Suzuki has decided to step in the EV space and the first offering will be the Burgman Electric. We share with you the fresh and detailed images of the Suzuki Burgman Electric spied on the test.
Suzuki Burgman Electric will take the major design cues from the Burgman Street while keeping some changes. The front profile seems exactly similar to the Burgman Street but major changes lie on the back. Looking at the images reveal the absence of side-mounted exhaust and repositioning of the shock absorber. Thanks to the absence of exhaust pipe, the Burgman Electric seems much sleeker from the rear when compared to the regular model.

What is also visible is the rear tyre hugger which is much prominent and bulkier over the regular model. Another change differentiating this to the regular model is the dual-tone shade with electric blue decals. We expect the Burgman Electric to come with a hub-mounted electric motor coupled with a Lithium-ion battery. While the actual figures are close to none, we expect the Suzuki Burgman Electric to match the industry standards. That indicates to a certified range of 80-100 km on a single charge and top whack capped to 80 km/h.

Moreover, Suzuki is also expected to add a digital coloured-display to the Burgman Electric which can be used to show the stats of the electric powertrain as well as connectivity features including navigation assist. Suzuki is already offering a smart Bluetooth-enabled display with the Burgman Street but that offers limited features. Summing it up, the Suzuki Burgman Electric has been spied on Delhi-NCR roads for the first time and the launch will not happen before mid-2021. Once launched, it will rub its shoulders with the Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak Electric and TVS I-Qube.
