Update - 14/05/2021 - Tata launched the Altroz i-Turbo engine option in January this year. It continues with three variants - XT, XZ and XZP Plus. The i-Turbo is a detuned version of 1.2L petrol from Nexon and now produces 108 bhp with 140 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The prices for this stick to Rs 7.94 lakh, Rs 8.46 lakh and Rs 9.06 lakh respectively. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.

Sharing more details on this modified Altroz then it is the XE trim which is also known as the base variant. The first modification here is the dampening process on all four-door. It not only improves the sound quality inside the cabin but when you are driving on the road, it reduces the NVH levels. It makes sure that the cabin is well insulated.

Next is the foot scuff plates that comes with a black design with blue colour LEDs. The Altroz moniker is also written in the scuff plates. To match the cabin, the seat covers are also bucket fit in Nappa leather with a contrast red stitching. According to the owner, these seat covers are specially made. Like the seat covers, the steering is also stitched with leather.
If you look at the higher trims of the Altroz, Tata provides a floating type touchscreen unit. Well, this XE variant gets the same screen but as an aftermarket accessory. It is a 9.0-inch smart sonic android screen that plays everything from YouTube to Netflix, Amazon Prime and all. Remember, even the top-spec Tata Harrier comes with an 8.8-inch touch unit while this Altorz gets a 9.0-inch unit.

This XE model also gets two USB ports, a 12V power socket, a wooden armrest, a door visor and more. The damping done is from Rockstar company which is a made in India product. So Vocal For Local is done right with this Tata Altroz.

Tata Alrtoz comes in both 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel engine. The petrol is sourced directly from the Tiago but feels bland to drive. It makes 84 bhp and comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5L oil burner is a detuned unit from Nexon and continues with the same punch while driving. It makes 90 bhp and comes with a stick shift only.
