Tata Altroz, the only vehicle in its segment to offer a diesel engine, will soon receive a facelift, and testing is currently underway. This hatchback will remain mechanically unchanged, but its aesthetics will see improvements, as confirmed by recently surfaced photos. A few weeks ago, it was spotted fully camouflaged, and now it has been seen again in broad daylight. Let's anticipate what new updates it could bring this time, and don't forget to join the 91Wheels Whatsapp Channel to stay updated on the latest automotive news.

Tata Altroz
This hatcback will get a redesigned front end, for sure, and the now the clear photos give us rough image to imagine how different it would be from current model. First of all, the grille and bumper would be all new, and the placement of fog lamp has changed. So, expect a more chiselled down front facia, like Safari and Harrier. Also, the alloy wheel design would be new, as they are also protected by covers, plus changing them with every facelift has become mandatory.

That said, the rear won't see drastic changes, as we previously discussed in detail, and even the photos gave us a clear view of the design. However, don't be surprised if the bumper is redesigned. Apart from this, there won't be much difference in engine choices, as it will continue with the 1.2L petrol, Duo-CNG, 1.5L diesel, and 1.2L turbo petrol.

The interior will see slight tweaks with new features such as a larger screen, a redesigned center console, an updated two-spoke steering wheel with a digital Tata logo, and touch-based steering controls. Apart from this, we don't believe the Altroz facelift will be entirely new but will continue with the same single-pane sunroof, digital tachometer, rear AC vents, and ambient lighting, like convenience features.

Verdict
The Altroz is the only car in its segment to offer a diesel engine, which makes it unique, and it also sells pretty well. It's more stable and has better handling than the i20 and Baleno, but it has inconsistent body panels throughout. Also, the glitches in the infotainment system are well known. If Tata solves these long-standing recurring issues, then the Altroz can climb to the top of the sales chart, as it has the potential.
