Tata Motors has been in the spotlight lately as the launch of its Curvv model gets closer. The company recently announced that the official unveiling will take place on August 7th. New spy shots of a test mule have been making waves online because of its striking resemblance to the petrol version of the Curvv, which was showcased at the Bharat Mobility event. Tata Curvv Petrol: What To Expect?
There has been a lot of buzz about the Tata Curvv, with the petrol version expected to launch next year, while the EV version is set to arrive sooner. Interestingly, there's also talk of a diesel version being unveiled alongside the EV on August 7th. In the teaser, two test mules have been spotted, and if you look closely, you can see some differences between them.
Focusing on the captured test mule, it shows a noticeable resemblance to the showcased petrol version seen in render images and at the Bharat Auto Mobility Show. The test mule has the same design body lines and similar alloy wheels. At the rear, it features a sloping coupe look.

Tata Curvv Petrol: Feature Details?
Inside the Tata Curvv's cabin, you can expect a design similar to the Tata Nexon ICE. It's set to offer a range of features for comfort and convenience, including a large 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital drivers display, ambient lighting, cruise control, automatic climate control, keyless entry, premium JBL 9-speaker sound system, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
On the safety front, it will be equipped with six airbags, TPMS ABS, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, ESC, and there's high anticipation for the inclusion of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features.
Tata Curvv Petrol: Under The Hood?
Tata is reportedly developing a new 1.2-liter T-GDI turbo-petrol engine for the Curvv petrol version. This engine is expected to deliver 125 PS and 225 Nm of torque. It should be available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
On the diesel side, the Curvv is likely to borrow the 1.5-litre engine from the Tata Nexon, producing around 115 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
In terms of competition, the Curvv will go up against popular compact SUVs like the Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Creta, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Kia Seltos, and others.
