Tata Motors will now be revealing the Nexon EV long range edition to eliminate the range anxiety and has also announced two other important dates to be marked in the calendars, the 20th and 28th of April this year, as they will be introducing their brand new electric SUV on these dates. It is suspected that Tata is also working on the fully electric powertrain versions of the Tiago and the Altroz, which would be inclined towards the mass consumer segment.

The tagline 'Discover Different' confirms that it would neither be the Sierra EV, nor the Tata Nexon EV long range, thus hinting at a brand new product based on a different platform. The EV concept is being highlighted in a blue shade like the theme found on other Tata electric vehicles with an LED light bar running across the entire front grill extending as the DRLs along the bonnet. As per Tata's design language in the Punch, Harrier and the Safari, this electric SUV too would feature a split headlamp design which would find a place in the highlighted triangular housing.

The confirmed product to be released is the long range Tata Nexon EV which would now be provided with a much more powerful charger rated ta 6.6 kW. The Nexon EV would now be powered by a much larger battery pack to provide approximately 400 kilometres of range and a few new features and structural changes to tackle with the heavier battery pack.
