The Tata Harrier Automatic is now on sale in India. Prices start at Rs 16.25 lakh for the mid-spec XMA trim, going all the way to Rs 20.25 lakh for the top spec XZA+ Dark trim. This is one of the highlights from Tata Motors at the ongoing 2020 Auto Expo. Alongside the Harrier A/T, Tata Motors also announced the pricing for the BS6 compliant regular Harrier. Prices are mentioned below.
The manual Harrier is available in a total of 9 versions while the automatic model can be had in 7 different versions. This makes the Tata Harrier Automatic the only car in the segment to be offered in so many trims - this further widens its customer base. We love the fact that the Harrier automatic can be had in the dual tone as well as Dark editions. Thumbs up to Tata Motors for that.
Both the 2020 BS6 Harrier as well as the automatic versions come with updated engines. It is the same 2.0 FCA sourced turbo-diesel but this now generates more power. Max rating now stands at 170 bhp while the maximum torque out is 350 Nm. Both the manual and automatic versions have a 6-speed set-up. Added features in the new Harrier range includes a sunroof on the top-spec model and a different design for the alloy wheels.
We feel the Tata Harrier Automatic is now well equipped to take on the competition and even beat it across a few parameters. This is the model line-up that the company should have launched in the first place last year. Tata Motors also showcased the upcoming Gravitas this will be offered in both 6 and 7 seat configurations. Launch will happen in the next few months.
