One of the most popular electric vehicles on the Indian market is the Tata Nexon EV. Tata has also been able to take the lead in EV sales thanks to the Nexon EV. In India, the market for personal electric mobility is still developing, and many consumers are concerned about maintaining their EVs after purchasing them. The cost of the Nexon EV's traction motor and battery pack component has now been shared by two owners.

Tata Nexon EV Battery & Motor Price
The most important component of an EV and if any of these component breaks down the cost of changing them is very high. One of Nexon EV owner Doddappa S. Nisty made a Facebook post in Tata Nexon EV Group Karnataka. The owner claimed to have owned the car for two years and driven more than 68,000 kilometres. However, the Nexon EV's owner is having trouble with the Nexon EV stalling when the battery charge level falls to 15%.
Owner inquired about replacement cost, and was informed that it was Rs. 7 lakh. In this case, the battery pack was changed without any charge to the owner because it was covered by warranty. Tata Motors offer 8 years or 1.6 lakh km warranty on the battery pack
Another Nexon EV owner has now disclosed how much the car's traction motor costs. The Nexon EV's traction motor's MRP is Rs 4,47,489. The owner has not disclosed the reason for changing the motor or the problem the car is having.

There are two different Nexon EV models available: Prime and Nexon EV Max. The Nexon EV Prime has a 30.2 kWh battery pack that can produce 127 bhp of power and 245 Nm of peak power and torque. Along with a 40.5 kWh battery the Nexon EV Max generates 250 Nm of maximum torque and 141 bhp of power.
Tata Nexon EV Price
Price for the Nexon EV Prime ranges from Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 17.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The Nexon EV Max, which was recently launched, is priced between Rs 18.34 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 19.84 lakh (ex-showroom).
Verdict: If the battery and traction motor are changed without a warranty, the total cost will be close to Rs 11.50 lakh. The recently released Tata Tiago EV costs the same as this. Since EV technology is still relatively new in India, changing parts without a warranty can be an expensive experience for many users.
