Tata Punch Facelift Launch In 2025: Expected Updates
Similar to the recent facelifts of the Nexon and Harrier models, Tata Motors is expected to update the styling of the Punch SUV to align it with the newer Tata designs. Anticipated changes include refreshed design cues in the front bumper, grille, headlamps, and bonnet to give the small SUV a renewed appearance.

Additionally, Shailesh Chandra mentioned that there would be feature distinctions between the petrol and electric versions of the Punch.
Powertrain: Mechanics To Follow
The upcoming Punch facelift is not anticipated to undergo powertrain changes. It will retain the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with options for both manual and AMT gearboxes. Additionally, the facelift is expected to introduce a CNG version alongside the petrol variant. While maintaining these powertrain elements, there will be specific distinctions between the newer Punch and its electric counterpart, aligning with the differentiation observed between the Nexon and Nexon EV models.
Punch EV Launched At Rs. 10.99 Lakhs
Tata Punch EV is finally launched after much hype and speculations at a starting price of Rs. 10.99 lakhs ex-showroom. This makes it the fourth offering from Tata in their electric cars line-up. The Punch EV introduces a range of features and attributes that are not commonly found in sub-4m and compact SUVs even today. These include ventilated front seats, auto-dimming IRVM, rear disc brakes, LED fog lights with cornering function, a fully digital and configurable 10.2-inch instrument cluster, LED projector headlights, electronic parking brake, 360-degree camera, TPMS, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, premium upholstery, and more.
The long-range variant of the Punch boasts an impressive claimed range of up to 421 km, surpassing the Tiago EV by a substantial margin. In comparison, the Tiago EV provides a claimed range of 315 km. This significant increase of over 100 km in range is a noteworthy enhancement for the Punch, elevating its appeal in the electric vehicle market.
Verdict
As Tata Motors gears up for the mid-life facelift of the Punch petrol variant, expectations are high for refreshed styling, aligning it with the brand's latest design language. Anticipated changes to the front bumper, grille, headlamps, and bonnet aim to infuse new life into the compact SUV's appearance. However, while maintaining the familiar 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, the upcoming Punch facelift is poised to introduce feature differentiations between its petrol and electric versions.
