With electric scooters and bikes gaining popularity, we saw a number of brands launch numerous electric two-wheelers in the Indian market. The trend seems to continue in 2022 as well and here is a list of the top 10 upcoming affordable electric two-wheelers In India in 2022.
Hero MotoCorp Vida Electric Scooter
Hero MotoCorp is all set to enter the electric two-wheeler segment in 2022. The brand recently trademarked the Vida name and is expected to use this name for the new vertical for electric mobility and its EV range. While very few details are available about the upcoming Hero electric scooter, we expect it to feature battery-swapping technology. The upcoming electric scooter was teased in August and is expected to launch in mid-2022.

Suzuki Burgman Street Electric
The Suzuki Burgman Street Electric will be based on Street 125 and was spied on test multiple times. The test mules did give us a hint of what the production-spec model may look like. Having said this, the brand is yet to reveal the official details and specs of this electric scooter. The launch is expected in the first half of 2022.
Hero Electric AE-47
The Hero Electric AE-47 was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2020. The AE-47 will be the first electric motorcycle in the brands lineup and will be powered by a 4kW electric motor. With a claimed top speed of 85 kmph, the AE-47 will be a powerful and practical alternative for those looking for a good looking and comfortable electric bike. Furthermore, the bike will also offer a lightweight portable lithium-ion 48V/3.5 kWh battery and can be charged fully in four hours. Two ride modes, Power and Eco, will further improve the usability and practicality. The claimed range in the Eco mode stands over 15 km.
HERO ELECTRIC AE-75
The AE-75 was the second electric two-wheeler showcased at the Auto Expo. The Hero Electric AE-75 is claimed to be a premium and a high-speed electric scooter with a claimed top speed of 55 kmph. The scooter is said to boast a claimed range of around 80 km per charge. The exact specs are however yet to be revealed by the brand.
Okinawa Okhi100 Electric Motorcycle
With an expected launch in the first quarter of 2022, the Okhi100 electric motorcycle will be a high-speed electric motorcycle, with a removable lithium-ion battery and a fast charger. The bike will boast a centre mounted motor and will have a claimed top speed of over 100 kmph. The claimed range on a single charge is expected to be over 180-200 kms.
Okinawa Okhi90 Electric Scooter
The Okhi90 is expected to make its debut in the market in early 2022 and will be a high-speed EV with a claimed top speed of 90 kmph. The EV will boast a range of over 175-200 kms on a single charge. Just like the Okhi100, the Okhi90 is also expected to offer a swappable battery feature

Komaki Venice Electric Scooter
The Delhi-based EV brand, Komaki Electric Vehicles, is expected to launch Venice by mid-2022. The Venice will be a high-speed electric scooter and will be launched at affordable pricing. The brand promises to offer this cooter in 10 different shades and will offer features like regenerative braking, mobile connectivity, etc.
Everve EF-1
Everve showcased the EF-1 at the Auto Expo 2020 and is regarded as a premium EV manufacturer in India. The EF-1 not only promises strong performance and features but is also expected to give tough competition to the scooters like Ather 450X & OLA S1. The EF-1 is expected to get a 4.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will power a 5kW electric motor.
Prevail Electric Elite
The Prevail Electric Elite promises to be a powerful and fun to ride scooter with a claimed top speed of 80 kmph. With features like in-built navigation, music player, Bluetooth, swappable battery and an auto repair button for emergencies, this new EV will be a VFM and a practical choice for many. With a charge time of just 4 hours, this EV boasts a claimed range of over 200 kms on a single charge.
Prevail Electric Finesse
The Prevail Electric Finesse provides a hassle-free riding experience with its 12-tube brushless controller and one-click fix function. With a claimed top speed of 60kmph, the Finesse EV boasts a tested ability to climb a 30-degree slope with a payload capacity of 200 kg.
