The festive season is on the horizon in India and automakers are gearing up to take advantage of it by launching their all-new products. Almost all the auto majors in the country are planning to launch their new offerings- these range from electric vehicles to premium MPVs and SUVs. 1. Tata Nexon CNG
Status: Launched
The Nexon is the second top-selling product of Tata Motors after the Punch compact SUV. The Nexon is currently available in diesel, petrol and electric guise and there is no CNG variant on offer for the mid-size SUV. So, taking note of the demand of the customers, the automaker has made plans to launch the Nexon CNG in the upcoming festive season. The Nexon CNG will source its power from a 1.2-litre petrol engine.
2. Alcazar Facelift
Status: Launched
Hyundai Motors India will launch the updated version of its three-row SUV- Alcazar on September 9. The facelifted Alcazar will get some major cosmetic and feature updates such as a new front fascia, interiors and new equipment. Mechanically, things will remain largely the same with the same engine options- 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel. On the feature front, the Alcazar facelifted will get new improved safety equipment along with the ADAS Level 2.
3. Kia Carnival
The Kia is all set to launch the updated 2024 Carnival in India on 3rd October 2024. The new Carnival is going to be a worthy upgrade over the current generation model of the MPV. There will be an all-new front fascia featuring a new grille, sleeker headlamps and new LED DRLs. It will continue with the 2.2-litre diesel engine that generates 191 bhp and 441 Nm. Notably, some selected dealerships have started taking bookings for the Carnival facelift.
4. Kia EV9
Another premium product to arrive on October 3 is the Kia EV9 electric SUV. The Carnival and Kia EV9 will be launched in the same launch event. The Kia EV9 is a premium full-size SUV that competes with the luxury E-SUVs in India. The EV9 will come to India via the CBU route, thereby it will be a costly product. The EV9 is a three-row SUV, offering a driving range of 541 km on a single charge.
5. MG Windsor EV
Status: Launched
The MG's upcoming car is the all-new Windsor EV. The brand has already released a series of teasers for the upcoming EV. According to the brand, it's an intelligent compact utility vehicle (CUV). The MG Windsor EV is an Indian version of the MG Cloud EV which is on sale in some major international markets. The Windsor EV is set to offer some best-in-class features such as a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. The MG's CUV will make its way to India on September 11.
6. Mahindra XUV 3XO EV
The recently launched Mahindra XUV 3XO has received a great deal of attention from buyers. Since its launch, there have been rumours of the launch of its electric version. Most probably, the automaker will launch the XUV 3XO by this Diwali. The 3XO EV is expected to get the same powertrain as the XUV400 EV while the design will be similar to the XUV 3XO itself.
7. BYD M6
The BYD India is also expected to launch the BYD M6 this festive season. The upcoming MPV is said to be the facelifted version of the BYD E6 MPV. With some major cosmetic updates, the M6 E-MPV will also improve on the feature front. While internationally BYD offers the M6 EV with a dual motor setup as well, things could be quite different with the India spec version.
8. Jeep Compass Facelift
Jeep also has plans to launch the updated version of its mid SUV. the Compass in India. The updated Compass is expected to get some major upgrades- refreshed interiors, new front and rear profile and new powertrain options (expected). The Compass SUV is Jeep's top-selling product in India, so it's crucial for the brand to keep it competitive on all fronts- pricing, features and power as well.
9. 2024 Nissan Magnite
Status: October 4, 2024
Nissan India will also join the festive season league with the new Magnite. The facelifted Magnite will receive some cosmetic changes and feature additions as well. The design upgrades will include a new grille, refreshed headlamps, tail lights and alloy wheels. On the inside too, there are some feature additions expected such as an updated upholstery and a bigger touchscreen infotainment system.
10. MG Gloster Facelift
Another major launch from MG Motors is the Gloster facelift. While the exact details are still under cover, several spy shots of the upcoming Gloster suggest that it will get a new front fascia with new horizontal slats grille and a refreshed bumper. Additionally, it will get more chrome treatment on the exterior, refreshed LED headlamps and new alloy wheels.
On the feature front, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system will replace the current 12.3-inch unit. Also, the updated Gloster is expected to feature a new seats upholstery. Mechanically, the SUV will get the same 2.0-litre diesel engine with both 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrain options.
