The Maruti Baleno is all set to get a major update for the Indian market and will be offered with a new design, refreshed dashboard layout, and an extensive features list. Once launched in the Indian market, the Baleno will take on the rivals like the Hyundai i20 and the Tata Altroz. Having said this, here the top five things about the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno that you should know.
Dimensions
As per the confirmed reports, the new Baleno is expected to measure 3990 mm in length, 1745 mm in width, and 1500 mm in height. In addition to this, the car will also get a claimed gross vehicle weight of 1410 kg. The wheelbase on the other hand measures 2520 mm.

The 2022 Baleno will be offered in 11 variants -

No CVT, Torque Converter
Unlike earlier, the upcoming Baleno will not be offered with a CVT automatic gearbox and will get a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The AMT transmission is not only offered at an affordable price, but is also cheap to maintain in the longer run.

Engine and Gearbox
The same 1.2-L petrol motor will be offered with the upcoming 2022 Baleno but is expected to boast a higher state of tune to offer better performance. This is will be offered with a five-speed manual as well as an AMT gearbox. The brand is also expected to offer the hybrid dual-jet version of this engine with the Baleno.
Launch Date And Price
The Baleno is expected to make its debut in late February or in March 2022. We are also expecting a significant increase in the starting price of the upcoming Baleno. The brand is however yet to reveal any official details about the price or the launch date.
