The Toyota Hilux will go on sale in India on January 20, while its deliveries will commence in March this year. Pre-bookings for the pickup will start on the date of the price announcement, while the booking amount will be set at Rs 1 lakh. The new model will be assembled at the TKM plant in Karnataka and will share aplenty with the Fortuner. It is likely to be priced at around Rs 27lakh (ex-showroom) and will rival the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.
Toyota Hilux Specifications
Powering the double-cab will be a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine that will be shared with the Fortuner. The transmission options here will include a six-speed manual as well as a six-speed automatic.
