Toyota introduces its three-row MPV in three variants: S, G, and V, offering a selection of five exterior colors. The automatic versions have seen a modest Rs. 5,000 increase, while the manual options have undergone a more substantial hike of Rs. 15,000. Following these adjustments, the Rumion now ranges in price from Rs. 10.44 lakh to Rs. 11.39 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
Powertrain
The Rumion comes with a 1.5-liter NA petrol engine paired with either a five-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter transmission. Additionally, it offers the option of a company-fitted CNG kit. The petrol engine delivers 102bhp and 137Nm of torque, while the CNG variant produces 86bhp and 121Nm of torque. It competes against the likes of Maruti Ertiga, Kia Carens, and the Maruti XL6.
Toyota Hilux Facelift Introduced Globally: Diesel Hybrid Introduced
In the latest upgrades, the Toyota Hilux now boasts two front and four rear parking sensors, dual-zone automatic climate control, smart entry/start, auto power windows, and carpet floor mats. Some trims also offer a wireless charging pad and two rear USB-C ports. However, it remains unclear how many of these updates will be available in Indian variants.

The key enhancement for the 2024 model is the introduction of mild-hybrid technology to the 2.8-litre diesel engine, featuring an electric motor/generator and a small lithium battery. Though power output remains the same, Toyota promises significant efficiency gains, with fuel economy improvements ranging from 6-10% across different trim levels. It could land here in India towards the end of 2024.
