Catering to the high demand for scrambler bikes in India, TVS is going to become the latest entrant in the segment. The official photos of the upcoming TVS Ronin 225 have leaked over the internet. This new bike is scheduled for official launch on coming July 6.

TVS Ronin 225 Design & Features
A detailed look at the leaked photos reveals that it is going to be a scrambler bike. The rugged design is provoked by the scrambler layout. Although, only side profile is leaked in the new photos, the overall theme of the bike is retro-modern. Half of the bike is blacked-out & hence it looks like a dual-tone scheme is applied to it.
The sculpted fuel tank, round LED projector headlight, high-set handlebar, chunky golden USD forks, and a short tail design testify to the scrambler outlook. The Ronin is using an upright sitting posture as visible in the photos. The flat & wide seat looks comfortable in the photos.
The fuel tank is in a tear-drop shape while most of the elements hint toward the retro-theme styling. The T-shaped LED DRL-equipped headlight was leaked a few days back, and it does look good with the overall design. TVS will also offer the TVS SmartXonnect tech in the upcoming Ronin bike.
One thing for sure is that TVS is going to equip the Ronin with numerous features. For instance, the instrument panel is all digital, it also has Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation like the Apache 200 4V. The 17-inch tubeless alloy wheels are equipped with dual-channel ABS & disc brakes combined with Brembo calipers.
This design is something TVS has never done before. The AT tyres & USD forks at the front, hint toward a scrambler that has a lot to offer once it is launched.
Engine & Specifications
TVS is widely appreciated for making powerful & reliable engines. The Ronin is going to be nothing different than the other TVS bikes. While the chassis is all-new, the engine is also deemed to be a new unit.
We expect that TVS will use a 223cc, air-cum-oil cooled unit for the scrambler bike. Power output shall remain in the likes of 20 hp while the torque might also revolve around the 20 Nm figure. Expect a 5-speed gearbox to be used for delivering the power.
Additionally, TVS offers various riding modes on its different bikes that have lower capacity engines. We expect that the Ronin shall also be provided with various ride modes to assist the riders through varying terrain.

Launch, Price, & Rivals
TVS is ready to launch the Ronin 225 on the upcoming July 6. Media invites are out & the wait is getting nail-biting. With rivals like the Yezdi Scrambler & Jawa Forty Two; the sticker price is expected to remain around Rs 2 lakh.
