Bajaj CNG Bike New Details
Already confirmed by Mr Rajiv Bajaj, the CNG bike is scheduled to debut before mid-2024. Now, the latest close spy shots reveal that it'll get an LED headlight and 17-inch alloy wheels. Moreover, it'll get a front disc brake and possibly a single-channel ABS as well. Other features might include a semi-digital instrument console along with a USB charging port.
This CNG bike will be the first of its kind in the Indian market. The main target is the commuter segment that has fuel-efficient bikes like the Hero Splendor and Bajaj Platina 110. The bi-fuel CNG technology will help in gaining more fuel economy than the regular petrol bikes.
Looking at the spy shots, we sense that the CNG tank might be placed underneath the seat. The fuel tank, which will be marginally smaller, shall be positioned conventionally. The combination will also get a manual override switch through which the user can switch between CNG and petrol.
While the engine details are unknown, we suspect that it will be powered by an engine between 100-125cc. The derivation of this CNG bike might be taken from the Platina model. When the bike is launched around mid-2024, the pricing of it will be aggressive. The online rumours suggest that it might be priced between Rs. 80,000 - Rs. 90,000 bracket.
Verdict
Bajaj's CNG motorcycle is an ambitious project. The aim is to divert the users to a more eco-friendly and fuel-efficient product. Moreover, the EV buyers will also be attracted with the savings that this bike will generate daily. Tell us in the comments about your thoughts on the CNG bike.
