- Upcoming Force Gurkha 5-door, 7-seater SUV spotted undisguised
- To come with the same 2.6-litre diesel engine as the 3-door variant
- Expected to be available in multiple seating options
- Launch expected in coming months
Force Motors appears to be getting ready to introduce its 5-door Gurkha SUV in India. The Force Gurkha 5-door has previously been seen on multiple occasions. The Gurkha 5-door has been spotted once more, but this time it is in a walkaround video that reveals every inch of the car. We may anticipate the vehicle's arrival in the upcoming months because it appears to be in production-ready shape in the video.
Charu Gokhale posted the video to YouTube.
Force Gurkha 5-Door, 7-Seater
Force Gurkha 5-door seen in the video resembles the 3-door model, and both have the same silhouette. In order to have extra seats, the Gurkha 5-door has a large wheelbase. The only distinction between it and its 3-door sibling is this. A bench seat is located in the centre row and two captain seats are located in the last row of the model seen in the video.
The brand might also introduce the Gurkha 5-door in a number of additional seating configurations. There may also be a 6-seater version with captain chairs in the middle and third row and a 9-seater with side facing jump seats in the last row and a bench in the middle row. The earlier sighting of a 13-seater model on test suggests that it is also planned.
The SUV's interior is similar to the 3-door model's interior. It features a touchscreen infotainment system, manual climate control, and a center console with a gear lever and controls for the power windows. There is no air con in the back row and middle row, however, there is a bench seat and power window controls at each door in middle row.
Force Gurkha 5-Door Engine
Force Motors will likely to get the same Mercedes-sourced 2.6-litre diesel engine as seen in the Gurkha 3-door and every CV by the brand. This engine has a max torque of 250 Nm and a power output of 90 bhp. This engine comes with a 4-wheel-drive system and a 5-speed manual transmission. To make it more affordable for consumers and to give them a choice, the company might also introduce a 4X2 version.
Verdict: Although the Gurkha 5-door's launch date is yet unknown, we may anticipate it in the next months. There isn't a direct rival for the Gurkha 5-door in the market, but the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door and Thar 5-door will face off against it.
