New Bajaj Pulsar N250: What's New?
The updated Pulsar N250 has now received a new 37mm USD front suspension. It is an Enduro-sourced unit that is destined to make its riding experience better. Another big update is the ABS modes - Rain, Road, and Off-Road. These modes can be changed via a button on the switchgear. All these modes increase or decrease the traction to enhance the experience. However, the rider can't switch off ABS in any of the modes.
Bajaj has also added a traction control system to the new N250. The traction control system is switchable and it can be switched off in the off-road mode. Moreover, like the smaller Pulsar N150, the N250 also gets a fully digital instrument console. It is a negative display unit with MID in-built. This unit shows essential data like fuel economy, trip meter, etc. The Bluetooth connectivity on it also offers SMS/call alerts as well as turn-by-turn navigation to the rider.
Hardware changes include a new wider rear tyre and a new petal disc brakes. The N250 now comes with a 140mm width profile at the rear. Meanwhile, the size of the disc brakes is unchanged but the discs are now petal-type for a sharp initial bite.
Bajaj has not changed the powertrain of the bike. It is still powered by the same BS6-compliant, E20-compatible 249cc single-cylinder engine. This oil-cooled unit generates a peak power of 24.1 bhp and a peak torque of 21.5 Nm. This power is mated to the rear wheel via a 5-speed transmission. The N250 also has a slipper-assist clutch.
The sole rival of the N250 in India is the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
