Honda Unicorn

| Review & Win

The Honda Unicorn is one of the top-selling models from Honda. It has a sleek design, spacious seat, and family-friendly comfort. It boasts a 162.71 cc engine producing 13 bhp and 14.58 Nm of torque, coupled with a 5-speed gearbox. With an ARAI-claimed mileage of 60 kmpl, it excels in fuel efficiency. While it offers good performance and value, it currently lacks Bluetooth connectivity, which could be a feature in future updates. Overall, the Unicorn is budget-friendly, and delivers good performance and mileage, though it has room for additional features.

Honda Unicorn Detailed Review

Looks and Colour Options 8

The Honda Unicorn 160 is a premium commuter bike and it does look premium, thanks to new chrome accents on the body parts. The front of the commuter motorcycle features a single-pod halogen headlight. A front cowl with a chrome trim surrounds the headlight. A chrome logo on the fuel tank gives the whole thing a premium appearance. However, the motorcycle still gets a halogen headlamp and it would have been better if Honda would have offered an LED unit. The motorcycle also gets a blacked-out visor that is integrated with the body panels and there are blacked-out rear-view mirrors too. Moving to the side profile, one can see that the Unicorn does have a butch stance.

The long, flat, single-piece seat of the new Honda Unicorn 160 provides excellent levels of comfort. The motorcycle's lower half is entirely blacked out, giving it a more elegant appearance. There are also subtle chrome embellishments. It has a sizable tail lamp in the back, but it is also a halogen lamp. The turn indicators on the motorcycle are halogen and there are no LEDs at all. Three different colour options are presently offered for the brand-new 2021 Honda Unicorn 160. They are Pearl Igneous Black, Mat Axis Grey Metallic, and Imperial Red Metallic.

Summary

The new Honda Unicorn 160 still looks identical to its predecessor. The Unicorn is an elegant commuter bike that feels very premium and it is available in multiple colour variants.

It's pocket friendly & very nice bike. Additionally it can be used in short trips within 100 km as well. Maintenance wise it is zero. However, will require care once it crosses 10 years.

Latest On Honda Unicorn

Last Updated on 18th Nov'24: One of the longest-running bikes in the Honda two-wheeler portfolio, the Unicorn continues to sell well in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Its 162cc engine is refined and more reliable than most of its competitors. Despite strictly being a commuter bike, the Unicorn boasts features like monoshock suspension, ABS, and high ground clearance. However, a digital console and LED lights are missing in this over Rs 1 lakh motorcycle.

The Honda Unicorn is a reputed commuter bike and carries its prestige on the back of good fuel economy and riding dynamics. However, the commuter segment now has the World’s first CNG bike, which is the Bajaj Freedom 125, which claims 1 kg CNG to return a mileage of 102 km while the petrol will give out 65 kmpl of respectable mileage.
