2024 BYD eMAX 7: Variants
As mentioned earlier, the eMAX 7 comes in both 6 and 7-seater versions. There are two variants on offer; Premium, and Superior, and you can choose to have them in either a 6-seater or a 7-seater version. Here are the prices for you:
- Premium 6-Seater - Rs 26.90 lakh
- Premium 7-Seater - Rs 27.50 lakh
- Superior 6-Seater - Rs 29.30 lakh
- Superior 7-Seater - Rs 29.90 lakh

2024 BYD eMAX 7: Features On Offer
The eMAX 7 focuses on offering more features compared to its predecessor, the e6 MPV. Some of the common features on this car are as follows:

The Superior variant additionally receives things panoramic sunroof with a sunshade, frameless wipers, a powered tailgate, automatic high-beam and power-adjustable front seats with ventilation. You can also differentiate between the Premium and the Superior variant visually; the latter receives roof rails as standard.
The Superior trim also comes with Level 2 ADAS, with things such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot detection, lane departure assist, and lane keep assist among other things.

Under The Skin
The eMAX 7 continues to feature the Blade battery pack, but the capacities vary between the two variants. The Premium variant comes with a 55.4kWh unit, which enables the front-axle motor to produce 160bhp and 310Nm of torque. This setup can cover a claimed 420km on a single charge.
The Superior variant comes with a bigger 71.8kWh battery pack, with 530km of claimed range on a single charge, while output figures stand at 201bhp and 310Nm of torque.
Both variants receive a portable charging cable as standard, along with 7kW AC charging capabilities. However, while the Premium variant supports 89kW DC fast charging, the Superior variant is rated at 115kW.
Verdict
The eMAX 7 MPV is a one-of-its-kind product in the market, being the only mass-market electric MPV currently. Unlike last time, BYD seems to focus more towards private customers, and with the number of changes that have taken place, it remains to be seen whether or not customers will accept an electric MPV into their lives.
