Hero Vida V2 Variants Explained
With 3 variants in the series, namely the Lite, Plus, and Pro, it is important to note that the convenience features are almost the same across variants with the exception of ride modes, which for instance are four in number with the top-spec Vida V2 Pro variants and three for the V2 PLus and two with the base-spec V2 Lite. However, they do differ in terms of battery size, range, top speed, and more whereas all three variants offer the same peak power of 6 kW and a torque of 25 Nm So, let's address the common features first and then move on to the differences that you are paying for.

- 12" alloy wheels

Vida V2 Lite
Rs. 96,000 ex-showroom
Now, coming to the distinction, the entry-level Vida V2 Lite is priced at Rs. 96000 ex-showroom and comes with a 2.2 kWh battery pack with a claimed IDC range of a modest 94 km on a single charge and a real-world range of 64 km. Not only this, its top speed is restricted to 69 km per hour. With a curb weight of 116 kg and an acceleration of 0-40 kmph of 4.2 seconds, it's not only the lightest among the three but also the slowest, although you get two riding modes, namely Eco and Ride. All in all, you get a reasonable package for the entry-level trim, but if you want a little more, the V2 Plus offers just that. The V2 Lite variants get four colour options namely Matte Abrax Orange, Glossy Sports Red, Glossy Black, and Matte White
Vida V2 Plus
Rs. 1.15 Lakhs ex-showroom
If you want a little more range and a faster 0-40 kmph acceleration, you have to opt for the mid-spec Vida V2 Plus variant which comes with a bigger 3.44 kWh batter with a claimed IDC range of 143 km and 100 km of real-world range. Taking a step further, the 0-40 kmph acceleration is clocked within 3.4 seconds with a kerb weight of 124 km. It also gets a top speed of 85 kmph, which is 16 kmph more than the Lite variant. On top of the Eco and Ride riding modes, you get an additional Sport mode as well. For all of this, you have to shell out Rs. 19,000 more than the Lite variant. But if there's anything more that you want, the top-spec V2 Pro is there at a premium. For the color theme, you get all four shades of the Lite variant plus an additional Matte Cyan color tone.

Vida V2 Pro
Rs. 1.35 Lakhs ex-showroom
The range-topping Pro variant gives you the best of the Vida V2 with a 3.94 kWh battery pack with an IDC range of 164 km and a real-world range of 114 km. As for the 0-40 kmph clock time, it is a swift 2.9 seconds which will give you that sporty feel. The quick acceleration demands for a higher top speed as well which is maxed out at 90 kmph pushing the kerb weight of 125 kg making it the heaviest and the quickest amongst the variant line-up. While it offers all the color themes of the V2 Plus, it gets additional Matte Nexus Blue.
Variant Recommendation: If the perfect balance of price to performance and all the other essential bits are combined, then the Vida V2 Pro makes the most sense. No doubt it is the most expensive of the lot and while you get all the features as standard across trims, when it comes to EVs, the range matters a lot in the long run. However, if you are a little tight on budget, I'll suggest you to go for the V2 Plus if absolutely necessary. Lastly, in my opinion, the base model does not make any sense due to its limited real-world range of just 64 km, something that cannot be compensated by any number of features.
Verdict
The Vida V2 offers another option to buyers looking to make the shift to an electric scooter and with a choice of 3 variants with a reaosnable price difference offers something for everyone. However, if you are planning to buy this latest model, keep the variant recommnedation in mind and make sure to keep watching this space for more such important insights.
