1. 7-inch Infotainment Screen
VX Trim - Rs. 9.04 lakhs
The Honda Amaze comes with a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen that sits in perfect bend within the dashboard just below the aircon vents. It supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with Bluetooth and AUX support. The unit is fairly fluid to operate and is ergonomically placed.
Competition Check- While the Maruti Dzire comes with a 7-inch infotainment screen, Hyundai Aura scores a brownie point with its 8-inch touchscreen.
2. Wireless Charger
VX Trim - Rs. 9.04 lakhs
Available as a plug-in accessory at no extra cost, the Honda Amaze offers the convenience of a wireless charger at the front that helps de-clutter the cabin with fewer wires going around. This is something that is a very handy addition to the overall in-cabin experience that helps with both aesthetics as well as utility.
Competition Check- While the Maruti Swift misses out on a wireless charger completely, the Hyundai Aura offers from its higher SX trims onwards.
3. Paddle Shifter
VX Trim CVT- Rs. 9.04 lakhs
In a segment-first, the Honda Amaze offers the convenience of paddle shifters with the CVT gearbox. It offers much more control over the gear shifts and makes sudden overtakes and other situations that require a downshift or upshift, a more hands-on experience. Also, the Amaze is the only model in the segment to offer a CVT gearbox as well.
Competition Check- None of its rivals offer a paddle shifter with their automatic gearbox.
4. Automatic Headlamps
VX Trim - Rs. 9.04 lakhs
Available from the top-spec VS trim onwards, the Honda Amaze comes with automatic headlight control with light sensors at the front. It automatically detects the fading away of light and turns on the headlamps for better visibility. In the daytime or as soon as you exit the tunnels, it automatically turns off the headlamps.
Competition Check- The Maruti Dzire and the Hyundai Aura, both rivals offer this functionality in their top-spec trims.

The Honda Amaze VX variant onwards offers a cruise control feature that comes in really handy on long highway drives. Set the cruise control at the speed limit and relax your foot while your car cruises on the highway. However, always stay attentive when to apply the brakes as per the situation on the road ahead
Competition Check- Again, both the Dzire and Aura come with this essential functionality.
Verdict
The Honda Amaze although very effieicent with its engine is now starting to feel a bit dated in terms of features and overall package. However, the facelift Amaze is currently under testing for its December 2024 debut. Meanwhile, the Dzire facelift is also coming soon and will re-ignite the rivalary with even more vigour.
