Jawa 42 FJ: New Engine
The Jawa 42 FJ is powered by a new 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Alpha 2 engine that makes higher power output than the standard Jawa 42. The power figures stand at 29.2 PS and 29.6 Nm. For transmission, there is a slick 6-speed gearbox on offer and that too with a slip and assist clutch. In my opinion, the mechanical setup is good enough to provide the needed grunt even at the higher RPMs.
Sportier Design
The new 42 FJ come with an all-new factory custom design which makes it look sportier and more appealing on the roads. The Jawa 42 FJ features the classic tear drop-shaped fuel tank, twin unswept exhausts and blacked-out components. These design elements add to its visual appeal and give it a modern touch.
Technology
The all-new Jawa 42 comes equipped with LED lighting that includes a headlamp, turn signals and tail lights as well. The new lighting setup increases the visibility and look contemporary. Hardware
The all-new Jawa 42 FJ is based on the same double cradle frame used for the standard Jawa 42. For braking duties, it features 320mm disc brakes on both sides which are larger than the ones on the standard Jawa 42. The motorcycle continues to offer telescopic front forks and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. All in all, the minor upgrades in the hardware make the Jawa 42 a more capable machine than the standard model.
Extra Comfort for Rider
The Jawa 42 is a rider-centric motorcycle because it offers a comfortable riding posture (slightly forward-inclined) which helps the rider to gain higher comfort on it. Also, its lower seat height of 800mm makes it suitable for short riders as well. Talking about seat comfort, the new Jawa gets a well-cushioned seat, catering to the comfort of both rider and pillion.
