If you really think about it, the Magnite is what brought Nissan out of troubled times. Ever since its launch in 2020, Nissan has been continuously tweaking the Magnite, without altering or changing what makes it so successful. With the Freedom discount currently ongoing, we thought of quickly running you through the different variants the Nissan Magnite is available in. But first, some specifications!
The Nissan Magnite gives you the option of choosing from either a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, or a 1.0-litre turbocharged unit.
The naturally-aspirated 1.0-litre powertrain puts out 72 bhp and 96Nm of torque, paired to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. Meanwhile the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol puts out 98 bhp and 160Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. With the CVT, the power output stays the same, but torque goes down marginally to 152Nm.
Variant Breakdown
The Nissan Magnite is available mainly in four variants; XE, XL, XV, and XV Premium. Additionally, each of these variants has their own possible configuration which includes the nat-asp MT, AMT, the turbo MT, CVT, the Kuro and the Geza Special Edition variants as well.

Nissan Magnite XE
XE MT: Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom)
XE EZ-Shift: Rs 6.59 lakh (ex-showroom)
The XE is the base variant of the Nissan Magnite, and you can opt for either the 5-speed manual or the 5-speed AMT. The XE variant misses out on a lot of creature comforts, but it does get a decent amount of safety features on offer. These include:

- Traction control
- Hill-start assist
- Reverse parking sensors
- Anti-theft immobilizer

Verdict
The Nissan Magnite should certainly be on your list if you're shopping for a car under a tight budget. The base variants may not get you much in terms of creature comforts, but they do get the safety basics covered. If you can live without a few extra creature comforts and the convenience of CarPlay/Android Auto, the XL variants should be a good fit. However, please do take a test drive before deciding.
