2024 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Cons

Vibrations at higher RPMs

This motorcycle inherits the vibration issues of the previous-generation Apache RTR 160. While the engine has improved performance and eagerness, it begins to feel strained at higher RPMs as the speeds rise.

Competition check: Compared to the Japanese 150-160cc motorcycles, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has more vibrations at higher RPMs.

Stiff ride quality

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V

The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V's sportiness is evident in its handling, but sadly, that also negatively affects the overall ride quality. The stiffer suspension setup, which aids in its agile handling, makes the motorcycle feel a bit harsher over rougher surfaces.

Competition check: The overall ride quality isn't as plush as that of its Japanese rivals, such as the Yamaha FZ-S FI V4, Suzuki Gixxer, and Honda SP 160.

Poor wind protection at higher speeds

This bike front fascia is positioned a bit low, and with no visor above the headlamp, the motorcycle offers negligible protection against wind blasts at higher speeds. While this is not much of an issue at usual speeds in city traffic, the concern is evident while hitting higher speeds on highways.

Competition check: Very few motorcycles in the 150-160cc category without a visor above its headlamp.

The punchy and rev-happy engine, along with a stiffer suspension setup and slightly aggressive riding posture, are the prime reasons behind the Apache RTR 160 4V's sporty riding feel.
