Hyundai Creta is a well-known name in the Indian market. The Creta was first launched in 2015 and it just hit the market by the storm. The first-gen Creta made a very strong positive impact in the Indian market and it became an aspirational car. Hyundai (then) used to call it the Perfect SUV and it also got a facelift in 2018. Now, its 2020 and the Perfect SUV has become the Ultimate SUV. Hyundai recently launched the new second-generation Creta in India. 2020 Hyundai Creta BS6: Looks and Colour Options
The new second-generation Hyundai Creta looks smashingly bold. The new Creta has a very striking appeal and will definitely turn people's heads out on the streets. Upfront, it gets an XL-sized Hyundai's signature Cascading grille with subtle chrome inserts. It gets an all-LED tri-unit headlamp with LED DRLs but the turn indicators and fog lamps are halogen units. Moving to the side profile, the muscular appeal of the Creta can be seen and it runs on 17-inch machined-cut dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, it again gets tri-unit LED taillamps and a big Creta badging on the tailgate.
The Creta also gets skid plates at the front and rear with all-around body cladding that lends it a more rugged appeal. The new-generation Creta is available in ten different colour shades. Out of these ten, eight are mono-tone shades while two are dual-tone colour options. The mono-tone shades are Typhoon Silver, Red Mulberry, Galaxy Blue Metallic, Phantom Black, Deep Forest, Polar White, Lava Orange and Titan Gray Metallic. The dual-tone colour shades are Lava Orange Dual Tone and Polar White Dual Tone.

2020 Hyundai Creta BS6: Engine and Transmission
The new 2020 Hyundai Creta is available with several engines and gearbox combinations. It gets two petrol engines and an oil-burner and all three of them are BS6-compliant. It gets a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque. This petrol motor is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and an IVT (CVT). It also gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine that develops 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. This mill is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a torque-converter automatic transmission. Hyundai also offers a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo petrol motor churns out 140 PS of power and 242 Nm of torque. It is mated only to a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission).
2020 Hyundai Creta BS6: Interiors and Features
The new 2020 Hyundai Creta is loaded with features up to the brim. The regular variants of the Creta get a beige and black interior while the turbo petrol model gets an all-black cabin with sporty red inserts. Taking the centre stage of the dashboard is a big 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It is compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Hyundai's BlueLink connectivity. The Creta gets around 54 BlueLink connected car features. Some other features include a massive panoramic sunroof, BOSE speakers, drive and traction control modes, air-purifier, paddle-shifters and many more. The safety features include ABS with EBD, up to six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, ESC, VSM, HAC, cruise control, speed alert system, etc.
2020 Hyundai Creta BS6: Price, Rivals and Verdict
The new 2020 Hyundai Creta is sold in India in five trim levels - E, EX, S, SX and SX(O) but with multiple variants. The price of the 1.5-litre Creta Petrol ranges between Rs. 9.99 lakhs - Rs. 16.15 lakhs while the 1.5-litre Creta Diesel is priced between Rs. 9.99 lakhs - Rs. 17.20 lakhs. The performance-oriented 1.4-litre Turbo Petrol engine is available in just two trim levels and is priced between Rs. 16.16 lakhs - Rs. 17.20 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. The new second-gen Creta rivals the Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Tata Harrier and MG Hector. Talking about the verdict, so if you want a great SUV with striking road presence, loads of space, features and good powertrain options in the budget, then you should definitely consider buying the new Hyundai Creta.
