Hyundai has just announced that the launch of the new-generation 2020 Hyundai i20 will take place in India on November 5, 2020. The new-gen Hyundai i20 will be leaps and bounds better than its predecessor and will be offered in multiple trim levels with several engines and transmission options. Let's have a closer look at the India-spec 2020 Hyundai i20.
First of all, talking about the variants, the new 2020 Hyundai i20 will be sold in four variants - Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O). The premium hatchback will get three BS6-compliant engine options, out of which two will be petrol and one will be an oil-burner. The new 2020 i20 will get a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. There will be multiple transmission options on offer. The new i20 might get a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a CVT (IVT), a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and a segment-first 6-speed iMT (intelligent Manual Transmission).
The new 2020 Hyundai i20 will be available in eight colour options, out of which six will be mono-tone colours and two will be dual-tone options. The mono-tone colour variants are Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Fiery Red, Starry Night and Metallic Copper. The top-end Asta (O) trim will get two dual-tone shades too. The dual-tone colours are Fiery Red with Black roof and Polar White with Black roof. The upcoming new Hyundai i20 will be a stunning looking premium hatch as it will be based on Hyundai's new Global Design Philosophy - 'Sensuous Sportiness'.

The new i20 will get a lot of features too, including some segment-first ones like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Hyundai's BlueLink connected car technology. It will also get an all-digital instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, premium Bose speakers, etc. The launch of the new 2020 Hyundai i20 will take place on November 5, 2020. The bookings for the i20 will be open tomorrow (October 28, 2020) and one can book it online through the company's official website or by visiting their nearest Hyundai dealership by paying a token amount of Rs. 21,000.
