2020 Hyundai i20 Prices Start From Rs 6.79 Lakh - All Prices

Hyundai has just launched the 2020 i20 and its prices start from Rs lakh and go up till Rs 6.79 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The most anticipated car of the year comes loaded with features, multiple powertrain options and most importantly, a fresh new design. The top model fetches till Rs 11.18 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, PAN India and are introductory till December 31, 2020.

Features

Hyundai's new i20 is the feature-loaded premium hatchback in the segment and carries the largest touchscreen in the segment. It also offers modern connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Hyundai's signature BlueLink connected car technology.

An all-digital instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, premium Bose speakers, ambient lighting, air purifier, wireless charging, push-button start/stop, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, front seat belt reminder, high-sped alert system and among more features.

Engine Options

The new i20 is available with three engine options - a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The NA petrol makes as much as 82 bhp with 114 Nm of peak torque. The transmission for this engine sticks to a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox. The IVT generates 88 PS of power. It delivers a mileage of 21km/l with the stick shift and 19.65 km/l for the CVT.

The reliable and most fuel-efficient engine is the 1.5L diesel which is a detuned version sourced from the Creta. It generates 99 bhp with a peak torque of 240 Nm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission only and delivers the highest fuel economy of 25 km/l.

The most powerful 1.0L turbocharged which will also rival with the Tata Altroz Turbo makes as much as 118 bhp with 172 Nm of peak torque. It will be available with a 6-speed iMT gearbox and an optional 7-speed DCT. 01-100 km/h sprint is achieved in just 9.99 seconds.

The new i20 lock its horns with Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Tata Altroz and Honda Jazz. The older i20 was showing its age and this new-generation model is back with a bang and we believe the sales will turn out good for this one.
