But, we are not here to bring you the details you already know. In fact, we present to you the 2020 Mahindra Thar in its natural avatar with an off-road bumper, rear armrest, new grille and several other changes in this video.

This modification has been done by Bimbra 4x4 which is a renowned name in the off-roading department. They customise several parts for the SUVs and specialises in the off-roading to give your beast a go-to anywhere attitude. Enough about the Thar and let's move further to the details.

Upfront, it boasts a metal bumper which is mounted to the chassis and have functional shackles. The stock bumper had to be replaced with this one to overcome the off-roading obstacles. With the stock version, one would have easily cracked it whole and damaged the internal parts. This new one is made to last longer and take on anything without hampering the parts. Another thing which adds to the advantage is the approach angle which increases by a margin.
You also get the metal protection for the underpart which protects the radiator in the hardcore off-roading. We have seen several instances on the internet where the radiator was damaged when people were doing off-roading in their new Thar.
Another interesting bit is that they have retained the original foglight placement for better illumination at night. Also, they have mounts available for people looking to place fog lights on top also. However, we would not suggest these to use on city and highway drives. This bumper is winch compatible also, however, you have to buy that accessory on your own.
Bimbra 4x4 has also changed the front grille and its Wrangler inspired. This one gels perfectly with this version. The fit and finish are perfect and there have been no alterations. They say that this grille can be painted in any colour combination.

They have also changed the stock headlights and replaced it with aftermarket one with projector treatment along with LED Daytime Running Lights. The rest of the SUV is kept in stock condition and Bimbra promises that some other accessories are also coming to the Mahindra Thar.
Apart from the front bumper and grille, Bimbra 4x4 has also worked on the comfort factor. That is basically an addition of rear armrest on both left and right side. Additionally, they also come with cup holders and the owner of Bimbra is also saying that this one currently is a prototype. They are also making armrest with storage spaces, in-built USB chargers and more such types.
This red Thar in the video is the top of the line LX variant with a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine under the hood. This one makes 130 PS of power with a peak torque of 300 Nm. The one in the video gets a 6-speed manual while an optional 6-speed auto is also available in the Thar. But there's a huge waiting period on Thar and that exceeds the 6 months time.
