The sub-compact SUVs have become very popular in India. In recent times, we have witnessed an influx of sub-compact SUVs in the Indian market. The first successful sub-4-metre compact SUV in India was the Ford EcoSport. It was launched way back in 2013. But, now we have a couple of sub-compact SUVs in India and soon a new one will also be launched. The all-new 2020 Nissan Magnite BS6 will be soon launched in India and the bookings for the same are now unofficially open. Here are all the details about it.
The new Nissan Magnite made its World Premiere in India on October 21, 2020. The production-spec model of the Magnite looks almost identical to the concept version. It looks quite unique and has a rugged appeal. At the front, it gets a big bold octagon-shaped grille, sharp headlamps and big L-shaped daytime running LEDs. The fog lamps of the car are placed on the lower half of the body. The new Magnite has a tall-boy stance and it gets a unique design for the alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets LED taillamps, etc. Also, it gets body-cladding all-around and skid plates at the front and rear.
Now, talking about the engine options, the new Nissan Magnite SUV will get two petrol engine options. It will be powered by a BS6-compliant 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This motor will churn out 72 PS of power at 6250 RPM and 96 Nm of peak torque at 3500 RPM. It will also get a new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo petrol motor will churn out 100 PS of power at 5000 RPM and 160 Nm of peak torque at 2800 - 3600 RPM (152 Nm of torque at 2200 - 4400 RPM for CVT). Both the engines will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox but the turbo petrol will also get a CVT.

The Nissan Magnite will be quite feature-loaded too. It will get a big 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Some other features will include a digital instrument cluster, JBL speakers, 360-degree parking camera, Nissan Connet, cruise control, air purifier, sound mood lighting, etc. Finally, talking about the price and launch timeline, the new Nissan Magnite sub-compact SUV will be most likely launched in India on November 26, 2020. Its variant-wise prices have already leaked on the internet and it is expected to be priced between Rs. 5.50 lakhs - Rs. 9.55 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi.

The bookings for the new 2020 Nissan Magnite BS6 are now (unofficially) open at dealerships across the country. The official bookings will also commence soon.
