Suzuki Motorcycles India has today finally launched the BS6-compliant iterations of its quarter-litre motorcycles. The Indian subsidiary of the Japanese bike manufacturer has launched the new 2020 Suzuki Gixxer 250 BS6 and the Gixxer SF 250 BS6 in the country. Suzuki has also introduced the BS6-compliant version of the new Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition. All these motorcycles are powered by the same mill & get identical features and so here are all the details you need to know about the BS6 range of Gixxer 250 series.
So, first of all, let's talk about the powerplant and the Gixxer 250 Series is now powered by a BS6-compliant 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine that pumps out 26.3 Bhp at 9300 RPM and 22.2 Nm of peak torque at 7300 RPM. The BS6 Gixxer 250 makes less power at higher revs and less peak torque at lower RPM as its BS4 counterpart used to produce 26.5 Bhp at 9000 RPM and 22.6 Nm of torque at 7500 RPM. The engine comes coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox and the Japanese technology & Suzuki's Oil Cooling System (SOCS) provides good rideability and ensures smooth acceleration, better power delivery and low fuel consumption along with ease of maintenance.

If we talk about looks and features, there has been no changes and the motorcycles retain their design language. The Gixxer 250 is a naked streetfighter and gets sharp design elements with tank extensions and all LED lights. The Gixxer SF 250 is a fully-faired model and it gives you a proper feel of riding a sports motorcycle. Like always, Suzuki also has a MotoGP Edition for the MotoGP fans which sport MotoGP stickers and wear Metallic Triton Blue livery. The bikes are also equipped with a dual-channel ABS and boast of an all-digital instrument cluster.
Lastly, talking about the price. So, the new 2020 Suzuki Gixxer 250 BS6 is available in two colour schemes - Metallic Matte Silver and Metallic Matte Black and is priced at Rs. 1.63 lakhs. The Gixxer SF 250 BS6 is offered in two colour variants - Metallic Matte Black and Metallic Matte Platinum Silver and is priced at Rs. 1.74 lakhs while the Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition charges 900 rupees premium and is priced at Rs. 1,74,900, all prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi.
