Tata Motors ventured into the sub-compact SUV segment of India with the Nexon SUV. The production version of the Tata Nexon was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and it was launched in India in mid-2017. The Nexon made everyone say wow as it was unlike any other Tata we have ever seen before and it became an instant hit. Also, it became the first Indian car to bag 5-Star safety rating in the Global NCAP Crash Test and achieved the title of India's Safest Car. 2020 Tata Nexon Facelift BS6: Looks and Colour Options
The Tata Nexon has always been a funky-looking youthful SUV and with the recent BS6 update, it has got even better. The new 2020 Nexon Facelift gets an updated front fascia. Upfront, it gets a new blacked-out grille with subtle chrome inserts. The grille is flanked by projector headlights and it also gets LED DRLs. The bumper too has been revised and it now features a tri-arrow pattern on multiple parts of the SUV. The side profile houses the machined-cut 16-inch alloy wheels and it gets a sloping-type roof with roof rails. At the rear, it gets a roof-mounted spoiler. The Nexon gets skid plates at the front and rear and all-around body cladding. It is available in six colour variants: Flame Red, Pure Silver, Daytona Grey, Calgary White, Foliage Green and Tectonic Blue. Also, all the colours can be had with a contrasting roof too.

2020 Tata Nexon Facelift BS6: Engine, Transmission and Mileage
The new 2020 Tata Nexon Facelift is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo petrol motor churns out 120 PS of maximum power and 170 Nm of peak torque. It also gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine that pumps out 110 PS of power and a whopping 260 Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed AMT. Talking about fuel-efficiency, so the Nexon Petrol MT delivers 17.4 kmpl while the Petrol AMT delivers 16 kmpl. The Diesel MT and Diesel AMT deliver the same fuel-economy of 22.4 kmpl, all figures are ARAI-claimed.

2020 Tata Nexon Facelift BS6: Interiors and Features
Tata Nexon has always been a feature-loaded car and now it gets even more features. Taking the centre stage of Nexon's dashboard is a floating-type 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It is compatible with Android Auto and Apple Car connectivity and it also gets iRA connected car technology. Some other features include an 8-speaker Harman-Kardon sound system, a fully-digital instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, smart key, multi-drive modes (Eco, City, Sport), and many more. The safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Roll-over Mitigation, Electronic Traction Control, reverse parking sensors with a rear-parking camera, cruise control etc.
2020 Tata Nexon Facelift BS6: Price, Rivals and Verdict
The new 2020 Tata Nexon Facelift BS6 is available in six variants: XE, XM, XZ, XZ Plus, XZ Plus (S) and XZ Plus (O). The Petrol variants of the Nexon Facelift BS6 are priced between Rs. 6.99 lakhs - Rs. 11.20 lakhs while the Diesel variants of the Nexon Facelift BS6 are priced between Rs. 8.45 lakhs - Rs. 12.70 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. The new facelifted Nexon rivals the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Ford Ecosport and the upcoming Kia Sonet. Finally, talking about the verdict, so if you want a funky-looking, feature-loaded, safe and secure compact SUV with good powertrain options in the budget, then you should definitely consider buying the Tata Nexon.
