One of the no-nonsense compact SUV is the Ford Ecosport and it packs in useful features, powerful diesel and petrol engine. Just recently, Ford has brought in the 2021 Ecosport which is not only cheaper than the earlier model but also gets sunroof right from the Titanium version.

The new prices of the Ford Ecosport start from Rs 7.99 lakh for the petrol and the diesel starts at the same Rs 8.69 lakh. Both the prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi. When carmakers are increasing the prices of their cars Ford is the one which has decreased the Ecosport prices and that too by a high margin.

As you can see from the above table, the base Ambient sees a price decrease of Rs 20,000 followed by the Trend which sees the highest price difference of Rs 35,000. The price of Titanium variant has gone up by Rs 1,000 in its manual variant but for the automatic transmission, it's still not out. The top-spec Sports variant is now priced at Rs 10.99 lakh instead of Rs 11.23 lakh. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.

The base Ambient is priced the same as before but the Trend now lowers its price by Rs 35,000 and the new price sticks to Rs 9.14 lakh. The Titanium variant is similarly priced as before but the Sports is now Rs 24,000 cheaper than before. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi. It's surprising that even with the inclusion of sunroof in the Titanium variant, the new price of Ecosport Titanium version remains the same.

With dropping the prices and adding sunroof as feature, Vinay Raina, executive director Marketing, Sales & Service at Ford India said, With the new line-up, we have not just addressed the customer feedback on making sunroof and key features more accessible but also left scope to add more unique features in the future.
Ford Ecosport is offered in both petrol and diesel engine with the latter being the popular choice among the consumers. The 1.5-litre, BS6 compliant diesel engine generates 99 bhp with 215 Nm of peak torque. It also gets a 5-speed manual gearbox. Sharing details on the petrol motor then the three-cylinder 1.5-litre Ti-VCT engine delivers segment-best 122 PS of power & 149 Nm of torque.
