The official India launch of the Jeep Compass Facelift BS6 is just around the corner. The launch of the new Compass Facelift is scheduled to take place in India on January 7, 2021. The company has recently rolled out media invites with a caption 'Block your date for an exciting Jeep announcement' and the mentioned date in the media invite is January 7, 2021. But now, ahead of its official launch, the new 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift has been spied in India in flesh. Let's have a look at the pictures and all the details about the SUV.
Just a few days ago, Jeep India teased the new facelifted Compass BS6 on its official website and also on all its social media handles. The teaser image of the SUV revealed the all-new green colour shade of the India-spec Compass Facelift. Now, ahead of its launch, the upcoming 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift has been spied in India in that very same green colour shade. The Compass Facelift in this new green colour scheme looks really good. Also, this colour shade resembles the Olive Green paint job of the Harrier CAMO which Tata likes to call as Majestic Camo green colour shade. The Jeep Compass was first launched in India in the year 2017 and back then, this SUV became an instant hit.

Now, after almost three and a half years, the Compass is all-set to receive a major update. A few weeks ago, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) unveiled the new 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift at the Guangzhou International Motor Show in China and now it is coming to India! Talking about the changes in the new Compass Facelift, so it will get a minor nip and tuck to enhance its aesthetic appeal. At the front, the new facelifted SUV will get a blacked-out version of Jeep's signature seven-slat grille with subtle chrome accents. It will also get some minor tweaks on the front bumper, new re-designed headlamps with LED DRLs and new LED fog lamps. The side profile of the new Jeep Compass Facelift will sport newly designed alloy wheels. However, at the rear, there won't be ant any major changes.
But, the main highlight of the new Jeep Compass Facelift will be its interior. It will get an all-new cabin with premium inserts. Taking the centre stage of the dashboard will be a big and all-new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It will be compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and it will get Jeep's latest UConnect 5 software too. The new Jeep Compass Facelift is also expected to get some new features. Talking about the engine options, so the mechanicals of the SUV will remain completely identical to the pre-lift model. This means that the new Jeep Compass Facelift will be powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre multi-jet diesel engine. This oil-burner will churn out 170 PS of maximum power at 3750 RPM and 350 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500 RPM. This diesel mill will be paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

The new upcoming Compass Facelift will also get the BS6-compliant 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo petrol motor will pump out 163 PS of power at 3750 RPM and 250 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500 RPM. This engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The top-spec diesel variants of the Compass Facelift will get the 4WD system too.
