Mercedes-Benz has finally brought in the 2021 GLA at a staggering price of Rs 42.10 lakh. Similarly, the GLA 220d is priced at Rs 43.70 lakh and the top-spec AMG version gets a sticker price of Rs 57.30 lakh. These prices will be increased by Rs 1.50 lakh right from July 2021. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.
Mechanically, the new GLA is powered by 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The four-cylinder petrol produces 163 hp with a peak torque of 250 Nm and this engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. This only comes in a front-wheel-drive setup.
The oil burner churns out 190 hp with a peak torque of 400 Nm. Unlike the 1.3L petrol that is available with an FWD set-up only, the diesel can be had in both FWD as well as an all-wheel-drive set-up. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The power-packed, performance version, the AMG spec model produces 306 hp with 400 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The German carmaker is providing an 8-year warranty on engine and transmission along with a standard comprehensive warranty of 3 years that is the segment-leading one.
The new GLA now measures 4410 mm in length (14mm shorter than before) but offers an increased 30 mm of wheelbase measuring at 2729 mm. Design-wise, the GLA take hints from its sibling and the diamond-studded grille with LED headlights and integrated LED DRLs brings a nice touch to the styling. The black cladding continues like before to keep that sporty appeal. The new GLA has also grown in height by 104 mm.

Feature-wise, the 2021 GLA now gets twin 10.25-inch screens for the driver and one for the infotainment system. The former is a digital cluster. One also gets wireless Apple CarPlay along with Android Auto along with Hey Mercedes voice command. Wireless charger, wide sunroof, ambient lighting, powered driver's seat are some of the other features the GLA gets.
